Border violence threatens economic recovery

Texas Gov. Rick Perry told national business leaders Monday that U.S.-Mexico border violence threatens commerce and an economic recovery in border states — and states far north of the Rio Grande.

Perry made the comments at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, which released a study that found that states, like Texas, which provide a friendly business climate fare better economically.
