The first major findings from the 2010 census were released Tuesday which showed that the U.S. has a population of 308,745,538,  a 9.7% increase over the past decade. Today, Census Bureau Director Groves joins the Washington Journal to discuss what else the data reveals about the nation. More »

Congress adjourns 111th session

Yesterday in the Senate, members ratified the U.S.-Russia Nuclear Arms Treaty (START) by a vote of 71 to 26 with 13 republicans voting in favor of the  treaty. The Senate also approved by unanimous consent the 9/11 health and compensation bill for first responders, as well as the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2011. More »
