Time to Fight
William L. Gensert
The “truth” can again be true — it is time to fight. More
Barack Obama will fall on November 6, 2012, losing the presidential election in a landslide to Mitt Romney. After the president’s performance in the first debate, this is becoming more obvious.
Yet now is not the time to be complacent. We are engaged in a battle for the heart and soul of America, and an electoral defeat for the president will not change that.
Now is the time to fight.
Living in the Bronx, in the past, I have been guilty of self-censoring. I always expressed my opinion but refused to get into arguments over politics. As a conservative, political disagreements with liberals can be written off, but for liberals, any disagreement is evidence of evil intent.
Therefore, I am a bad man — and, ever since Barack first ran for the presidency, racist as well.
The progressive position is an amalgam of mishmash — feel-good pabulum supported by facile and flaccid arguments, usually from people who intellectually should know better — yet choose not to.
Explaining this to someone, however, is basically calling her an idiot. More often than not, that was a conversation I declined to engage, cheerily changing the topic.
No longer can I allow myself to behave this way in pursuit of civility. After all, liberals are never civil. From now on, I “get in their faces.”
Recently, while filling up at a local gas station, a man doing the same complained about gasoline prices. Normally, I would nod sympathetically and resume pumping. But today we are fighting for our lives, fighting for our very existence.
I told him that if Obama is re-elected, the price per gallon will be $10 by the end of his second term.

SO IT BEGINS: OBAMA LIES, CLAIMS ROMNEY-RYAN WILL RAISE YOUR TAXES
Source: Breitbart.com, August 12, 2012
Barack Obama has been proven by more than one fact checking organization to be a habitual liar.
“I am told that Governor Romney’s new running mate, Paul Ryan, might be around Iowa the next few days,” he said while in Council Bluffs, Iowa. “He is one of the leaders of Congress standing in the way. So if you happen to see Congressman Ryan, tell him how important this farm bill is to Iowa and our rural communities.”
House passed bill on August 2, 2012 (Paul Ryan voted yes)
The American automobile industry has come roaring back…So now I want to say what we did with the auto industry, we can do it in manufacturing across America. Let’s make sure advanced, high-tech manufacturing jobs take root here, not in China. And that means supporting investment here. Governor Romney … invested in companies that were called ‘pioneers’ of outsourcing. I don’t want to outsource. I want to insource.

A few examples
While writing the previous piece where Washington Post’s The Fact Checker gave Barack Obama four Pinocchios on a statement he made on April 30, 2012, I clicked over to PolitiFact and took a look at the Obama File they keep where they have three pages of statements made by Barack Obama that were rated false statements.
Obama- If the Supreme Court throws out the federal health care law, it “would be an unprecedented, extraordinary step of overturning a law that was passed by a strong majority of a democratically elected Congress.”
Truth-O-Meter rating: False
(PolitiFact- Slim majority, not unprecedented)
Obama- “For the first time since 1990, American manufacturers are creating new jobs.”
Truth-O-Meter rating: False
Obama- “Preventive care … saves money, for families, for businesses, for government, for everybody.”
Truth-O-Meter rating: False
(PolitiFact- Wrong in 2009, and wrong today)
Obama- “Thirty million Americans, including a lot of people in Florida, are going to be able to get healthcare next year because of that law.”
Truth-O-Meter rating: False
Obama- “I made a bunch of these promises during the campaign. … We’ve got about 60 percent done in three years.”
Truth-O-Meter rating: False
(PolitiFact- “In the Works” does not equal “done”)
Obama Admin.- Under President Barack Obama, the United States has “doubled our exports.”
Truth-O-Meter rating: False
Obama Admin.- The president’s proposed budget “will help reduce the deficit by $400 billion over the next decade to the lowest level since Dwight Eisenhower was president.”
Truth-O-Meter rating: False
(PolitiFact-A mangled reference to a prior talking point)
Obama- Under the White House’s budget proposal, “we will not be adding more to the national debt” by the middle of the decade.

Obama- Health reform will “give every American the same opportunity” to buy health insurance the way members of Congress do.
Truth-O-Meter rating: False
Obama- Preventive care “saves money.”
Truth-O-Meter rating: False
(PolitiFact-Covering preventive care for everyone is a net cost)
Obama- (No earmarks in spending bill)
Truth-O-Meter rating: False
That was only from page one of Obama’s false statement PolitiFact files.
(Note- Skipped one from page one because while PolitiFact rated it as false it was because Obama misspoke and quoted the wrong time frame, so I don’t count that as an outright lie to the American people, just sloppy.)

Muslim-in-Chief Barack Hussein Obama blames US troops for attacks on them by Afghan security forces, orders Islamic cultural sensitivity training
Afghan security forces, our supposed allies, are slaughtering American troops – 33 soldiers in the past few months. How has the Pentagon responded? Top officials believe culturally offensive behavior by OUR troops is the motivation behind the killings, so it’s stepped up Islamic sensitivity training for American troops.
NY Post (H/T Frederic F) Troops who violate the sensitivity rules face severe punishment. Military officials who have done tours in Afghanistan are outraged that brass would even suggest US troops are partly to blame for their own murders.
If you don’t want to be shot in the back by your Afghan training partners, the Pentagon advises, don’t offend their religious sensibilities. Don’t kick your feet up on a table, for instance, and never ask to see a picture of their wives and kids. “There’s a percentage [of attacks] which are cultural affronts,” Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Martin ‘dhimmi’ Dempsey said in a recent interview.
Dempsey echoes the concerns of Gen. Sher Mohammad Karimi, the Afghan National Army’s chief of staff, who earlier this month argued both sides need to do more to “teach” foreign troops Islamic traditions and values to reduce the chance of violent reactions to cultural slights.
“It is our duty to teach this to them. Our indifference about these issues causes the incident,” he said.
In the past three years, uniformed Afghans have murdered at least 97 US and NATO troops. The Taliban has taken credit for many of the attacks, but the Pentagon has been reluctant to admit widespread infiltration of the Afghan security forces it’s training.
Standing up a national army and police force that can protect the US-sponsored government in Kabul is the linchpin of Barack Hussein Obama’s announced 2014 withdrawal strategy. Some 120,000 American and other foreign troops mix closely with 350,000 Afghan security forces. Afghan trainees and guards are co-located on US bases, where they share bathrooms, gyms and mess halls.
To avoid offending them, US commanders are putting troops through intense Muslim sensitivity training. Among other things, they’ve been ordered to:
* Wear surgical gloves whenever handling a copy of the Koran.
* Never walk in front of a praying Muslim.
* Never show the bottom of boots while sitting or lying across from a Muslim, which in Islam is considered an insult.
* Never share photos of wives or daughters.
* Never smoke or eat in front of Muslims during the monthlong Ramadan fasting.
* Avoid winking, cursing or nose-blowing in the presence of Muslims — all viewed as insults in Islam.
* Avoid exiting the shower without a towel.
* Avoid offering and accepting things with the left hand, which in Islam is reserved for bodily hygiene and considered unclean.
“I would like to see a public affairs officer explain to the press where showing the bottom of your shoe to a Muslim or shaking with your left hand was legitimate grounds for murder,” growled one US Army official. They say their Muslim partners would still resent them even if they followed their Islamic protocols to the letter.
“The cultural affronts excuse is a bunch of garbage,” a senior US Army intelligence official told me. “The Afghans that know we’re doing all this PC cultural sensitivity crap are laughing their asses off at our stupidity.”
Explained the intelligence official: “They’re killing us because we’re ‘infidels’ occupying Islamic lands. It’s what the Koran and every imam over there is telling them, and no amount of cultural sensitivity is going to stop that or change the fact that we’re ‘infidels.’ ”
Indeed, a Taliban video released last month revealed uniformed Afghans are itching for a chance to “kill infidels.” “I opened fire on three Americans who were sitting together,” a rogue Afghan soldier, identified as Ghazi Mahmood, says while smiling for the camera. “The reason I killed them is because they have occupied our country. They are enemies of our religion.”
Internally, the military has acknowledged the larger religious problem. A May 2011 study commissioned by the US Army says “fratricidal” assaults by uniformed Afghans stem in part from Afghan religious attitudes that their American counterparts are “infidel bullies.” (The same report says US troops regarded their Afghan training partners as “treacherous and murderous radicals” secretly colluding with the Taliban.)
Further pointing up the absurdity of putting troops through Islamic finishing school: The intelligence official notes that if there are any truly obnoxious cultural offenses, they are committed by Afghan trainees quartered inside our bases.
“They like to stand on our toilets and poop all over them,” he said. Why? They refuse to touch the toilet seats used by the “dirty infidels” they’re training and living with.

Battleground polls tighten as Romney surges out of debate
The presidential race appeared to be tightening back up in key battleground states in the wake of Wednesday’s debate, as Mitt Romney closed the gap and even edged past President Obama in a trio of polls released Friday. Rasmussen Reports released post-debate polls in Ohio, Virginia and Florida. They showed a dead heat in all three. That’s a turnaround from last month, when Obama was opening up a lead in those and other states. Romney’s Republican supporters are hoping that what was deemed as a dominant debate performance Wednesday will help fuel a campaign-trail rebound, in fundraising, polls and overall…

UNDER FIRE: Mayor of Lewiston, Maine for trying to keep his town from turning into a Somali Muslim slum
Muslims and Leftie do-gooders are outraged that Mayor Robert E. McDonald said Somali Muslims should leave their (repugnant, bigoted, mysogynistic 7th Century) culture at the door. Community leaders are demanding the resignation of a Maine mayor who said Somali immigrants living in his city should “accept our culture and leave your culture at the door.”
SUPPORT MAYOR ROBERT McDONALD
Contact: rmacdonald@lewistonmaine.gov - City Hall (207) 513-3000, X3202
STAR TELEGRAM (H/T RevereRidesAgain) Ten years after a Lewiston mayor set off a firestorm by saying the city’s Somali population was growing too fast, a new mayor’s remarks about the immigrant community is sparking another wave of anger and calls for his resignation.
About 6,000 Somali immigrants have settled into this have settled in this nearly all-white, heavily French-Canadian and largely Roman Catholic city of 36,000, giving Lewiston the highest concentration of Somalis anywhere in America. The Somalis began arriving in this city in February 2001, beginning the ethnic transformation of a city that was 97 percent white. Lewiston’s Somalis now represent close to 10 percent of the population, with an additional 30 or so arriving each month. Because of the Somalis’ large families, the percentage in the schools is even higher. Living off welfare, many Somalis have moved into the city’s housing projects.
Somali immigrants and their supporters in this former mill city in central Maine say Mayor Robert Macdonald should apologize and step down for what they call repeated anti-immigrant remarks, including telling a British Broadcasting Corp. interviewer that immigrants should “accept our culture and leave your culture at the door.”
A group of about 50 protesters rallied outside City Hall on Thursday before delivering 1,400 petitions to Macdonald’s office, asking for his resignation.
The mayor’s remarks sounded like he was telling immigrants to abandon their religion, their language and their identities, said Nimo Yonis, 26, one of an about 6,000 Somali refugees who live in Lewiston and the neighboring city of Auburn. The mayor’s words were painful, hurtful and “represent hate,” she said.
“Basically, he’s telling us to forget who we were,” Yonis said. “Just leaving your culture at the door is leaving what you believe, what you stand for and who you are at the door.”
Macdonald has attempted to clarify his comments, saying immigrants should try to assimilate into American culture. He has said his comments were taken out of context, and has claimed he never said anything derogatory about Somalis.
His words have rekindled memories of a decade ago when then-Mayor Larry Raymond wrote a letter in 2002 asking Somali leaders to discourage friends and family from relocating to Lewiston, saying the city’s resources were “maxed-out.”
The outrage over his letter attracted international attention and spurred a 4,000-person rally at Bates College, urging Mainers to embrace the influx of immigrants. During the rally, a small number of white supremacists who called for the expulsion of the Somalis gathered elsewhere in the city.
With the current mayor, critics say Macdonald has made repeated inflammatory remarks about the Somali population.
He wrote in a local weekly newspaper that “submissive Somali women turn into obnoxious customers at the grocery store cash register.” He also wrote that he was tired of news stories about Somalis being treated poorly; most complaints, he wrote, came from “boo-hoo white do-gooders and their carpetbagger friends.”
He later told a reporter that immigrants shouldn’t “insert your culture, which obviously isn’t working, into ours, which does.”

NIGERIA: Muslim Terrorists suspected of murdering 30 Christian college students, execution style
Looks like the handiwork of Islamic terrorist group, Boko Haram. Unidentified gunmen massacred at least two dozen Christian university students in northern Nigeria in the city of Mubi. The attacks lasted more than an hour, with gunmen targeting students specifically by name rather than indiscriminately firing, executing them one by one.
Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau sitting flanked by militants
CS Monitor Suspicion fell immediately on Boko Haram, a violent Islamist organization in northern Nigeria that has typically attacked Christian churches and security forces. Student leaders, meanwhile, suggested that the killings may have been tied to internal student political campaigns. No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
Aside from Boko Haram’s history of bloody attacks on civilians, the very name of the group – which means “Western education is a sin” – stokes suspicion of their involvement. But even if the group is found to be involved, the purpose of such an attack would not be part of some global jihad.
Boko Haram leaders associate Western education with the elites of northern Nigeria, whom the militants see as corrupt and insufficiently Islamic, says Mr. Bottomley. Boko Haram wants northern elites, politicians, and religious figures to adopt a stricter version of sharia law and maintain the north’s identity as an Islamic region in a Christian-majority country.
The killing of the students in their off campus residence came barely a week after Nigerian security forces known as the JTF uncovered bomb factories and arrested 156 suspected terrorists in Mubi. Other items recovered from the raid, code named “Operation Restore Sanity,” were improvised explosive devices, chemicals, arms, and ammunition, over 500 dagger knives, 9 AK-47 assault rifles, locally made pistols, and rocket launchers.
