WASHINGTON, DC – Sources confirmed today that hundreds of thousands of military absentee ballots were delivered hours after the deadline for them to be counted, with preliminary counts showing that they would have overturned the vote in several states and brought a victory for Governor Mitt Romney.

Officials say the ballots were delivered late due to problems within the military mail system. Tracking invoices show the ballots sat in a warehouse for a month, then they were accidentally labeled as ammunition and shipped to Afghanistan. At Camp Dwyer, Marine Sergeant John Davis signed for them and was surprised at the contents.

“I told Gunny we got a bunch of ballots instead of ammo,” Davis told investigators earlier today.  “He told me to file a report of improper delivery and that the chain of command would take care of it.  We didn’t hear anything for three weeks.  While we were waiting we came under fire so we dumped a bunch of them in the Hescoes.  We didn’t dig those ones back out.”

After military officials realized the initial error, the ballots were then sent back to the U.S. but suffered a series of setbacks.

Twelve boxes of ballots were dropped overboard during delivery to the USS Kearsarge (LHD-3) in the Persian Gulf, then while the ship sailed to Bahrain, postal clerks allegedly pocketed whatever ballots they wanted.

The remaining absentee ballots were loaded onto a C-130, but the flight was delayed until November 1st so the crew could get tax free pay for the month.  Once the ballots arrived stateside they were promptly mailed to each state’s counting facility, reaching their final destination on November 7th.

“It’s a shame,” Rear Admiral John Dawes said when asked for comment.  “I expected a delay so I ordered that everyone cast their votes eight months ago. It’s really unfortunate that our mail system failed us and directly affected the course of history.”

Upon hearing the news, angry Republicans have begun a demand for a recount, but most military absentee voters have shrugged off the news, with many wondering whether the care packages their families sent six months ago were ever going to show up.

JERUSALEM: Arab Muslims are torching cars and throwing stones at Jewish neighbors

A security camera installed by Victor Chernovsky, a resident of French Hill in Jerusalem, shows three Arab Muslims setting fire to his cars. The same thing happened to him last year.

INN Chernovsky described daily harrassment by Arab Muslim neighbors. “They constantly throw rocks at us. All the time. Children aged 8 or 9 pelt us with rocks and above them, the Border Police stand there and they curse and laugh at them. They put a new loudspeaker on the mosque and we hear it as if it is inside our home. They set off fireworks at 11 pm or 12 midnight. It’s impossible to live here. They threw a rock at my wife’s car when she was inside with two grandmothers. Then on March 8, international women’s day, they gave her a ‘gift’ and burned her car.”

French Hill is a mostly Jewish neighborhood in the northeast part of Jerusalem, and is home to many students from the nearby Hebrew University campus, who rent apartments in the neighborhood. In recent years, several Arab Muslim families have bought homes in the neighborhood, often to the chagrin of residents, who fear that that even if the homeowners are law-abiding, Arab terrorists from nearby villages could use the French Hill Arab residents’ as a “cover” to get into the neighborhood and carry out terror attacks.

TEMPLE MOUNT: Arab Muslims burning ancient beams of wood used during the period of the Holy Temple.

A group of Jews who ascended the Temple Mount were shocked to see that ancient beams of wood from the period of the Holy Temple were being used as firewood by Arab Muslims on the Mount, and off it.

INN (H/T Liz) Archaeologists have dated the wood as far back as the First Temple period, and appear to be among the celebrated ‘Cedars of Lebanon mentioned in the Tanach. The wood, consisting of giant beams, first appeared at the end of the 1930s, when the Al-Aqsa mosque which now occupies the Temple Mount was refurbished. The beams had been used in the roof structure of the mosque, and already at that time they were said to be thousands of years old by archaeologists – preserved because they had been used in the building. Some of the beams were dated to the first Temple period, others to Roman times, and more than one beam was found to have Byzantine-era designs etched on it.

Cedar beams dating to biblical times found at Jerusalem’s Temple Mount, moved some time ago out of doors and left in the weather, now have been deposited unceremoniously at a dumping ground for local Arabs to use as firewood 

After the beams were removed from the mosque, they were stored in a museum on the Mount. However, in recent years the beams were moved to a corner of the Mount, open to the elements – and archaeologists fear that exposure to winter rain and summer sun will be their undoing. Some of the beams were taken out several years ago, and more have been spotted in recent months. Reports said that the Arab Muslims, who have been trying for years to ger rid of the beams, have begun burning them.

Now, many of the beams have been placed at what appears to be a dumping ground next to the Golden Gate of the Old City, apparently for the use of local Arab Muslims as firewood. Jewish groups that visited the Mount saw the beams being moved, but reported that the Arab Muslims forbade them to take photos of the activity. Officials of the Archaeology Authority, who are responsible for the safety of these ancient beams, are nowhere to be seen.

Workers have unearthed artifacts on Jerusalem’s Temple Mount, says an Israeli agency. The artifacts, which date to the First Jewish Temple period – the eighth to sixth centuries B.C. – were found by employees of the Waqf Muslim religious trust doing maintenance work, the Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA) reported. The artifacts may be the first physical evidence of human activity at the Temple Mount – also known as Solomon’s Temple – in that time. 

Organizations that are involved in attempting to secure Jewish rights on the Mount expressed shock at the story. “It appears that this is part of the systematic attempts by Arabs to destroy all connections between the Jewish people and the Temple Mount,” said a spokesperson for one of the groups.

Manhigut Yehudit leader Moshe Feiglin expressed shock at the destruction of the important artifacts under the noses of Israeli authorities, and expressed hope that Likud voters would choose the Manhigut Yehudit faction to help defend the holy places of the Jewish people.
